The most recent quarterback invited to the Elite 11 finals from the Miami football program is Luke Nickel. On August 11, 2023, Nickel made his commitment to the Hurricanes, becoming the first Miami commit of 2025.
According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Nickel is presently the 25th quarterback, the 35th player in Georgia, and the 288th-ranked prospect in the 2025 class.
The official website states that Elite 11 was established in 1999 and is a competition for the nation’s best quarterbacks to “compete and improve their skill set both on and off-the-field.” Nickel was one of two quarterbacks chosen by Max Preps to be junior All-Americans on the second team for 2023.

The 2025 class includes 23 four-star quarterbacks. Of the four-star 2025 quarterbacks, Nickel is ranked 20th. Over the past year, Nickel has advanced through the 2025 class, making him a recruit to keep an eye on through Early National Signing Day in December.
Following his August commitment to Miami, Nickel has added a fourth star.
Over the previous two seasons, Nickel completed 62,7 percent of his throws for 6,421 yards, 63 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions. In 2023, Nickel guided Milton to a state championship in Georgia’s top classification. Nickel is the lone Georgian commit among the seven 2025 Miami commits.
