Baltimore Orioles Officially Announces Exciting Addition With New Coaching Staff. Lands Fastest Rising Star In Baseball Coaching, Former Texans Rangers Catcher As New Orioles Bench Coach.

The Baltimore Orioles have announced significant changes to their coaching staff ahead of the 2025 season, marking a new chapter in their pursuit of postseason success.

After suffering a second consecutive playoff sweep, the organization, led by General Manager Mike Elias and manager Brandon Hyde, has made it clear they are focused on optimizing their young and talented roster.

Two key additions stand out: Robinson Chirinos and Buck Britton.

### Robinson Chirinos: Bench Coach

Chirinos, a former MLB catcher who retired in 2023, steps into the bench coach role, marking the start of his coaching career. Known for his leadership and rapport with teammates, Chirinos has a strong connection to the Orioles, having played for the team in 2022.

Manager Brandon Hyde, a longtime admirer, expressed confidence in Chirinos’s ability to bring fresh insights and leadership to the dugout. Many in the baseball community view Chirinos as a future MLB manager, and this position could be a stepping stone toward that goal. His experience and leadership will be crucial as the Orioles aim to capitalize on their roster’s potential.

### Buck Britton: Major League Coach

Britton, promoted from managing the Triple-A Norfolk Tides, joins the Orioles’ big-league staff after a highly successful tenure in the minors.

Known for fostering strong relationships with young players, Britton’s familiarity with much of the current Orioles roster makes him an excellent addition.

These moves signal the Orioles’ intent to blend new perspectives with continuity, building on the foundations of their recent success.
