HUGE BLOW: Burnley Hit With Mini-Exodus As Five Senior Players Leave Turf Moor This Summer, Following ‘The Clarets Relegation To The Championship.

It sounds like Burnley’s return to the Premier League was quite the rollercoaster, from their triumphant Championship campaign to a disappointing relegation.

It’s unfortunate they couldn’t maintain their momentum in the top flight. With the impending exodus, it seems they’ll have some rebuilding to do for the upcoming season.

It’s a tough break for Burnley and their fans to experience relegation after such a promising return to the Premier League. Winning only five games and accumulating just 24 points certainly made for a challenging season. Relegation battles are always intense, and unfortunately, it seems Burnley couldn’t secure enough points to stay in the top flight. Hopefully, they can regroup and come back stronger in the future.

It seems like Burnley is preparing for significant changes in their squad due to their expected relegation from the Premier League. With four to five players likely to be sold, including goalkeeper James Trafford, who has been with the club for just a year.

Despite his recent involvement with England’s Euro 2024 provisional squad, which indicates his potential, he might still depart from Burnley. Newcastle’s interest in him could expedite his departure, although he wasn’t included in Gareth Southgate’s final squad for the Euro 2024 finals.

Newcastle’s focus on bolstering their goalkeeping department is understandable, especially with Loris Karius being released and uncertainty surrounding Martin Dubravka’s future, with potential interest from Celtic. Signing James Trafford could be part of their strategy to secure a strong goalkeeping lineup for the upcoming season.
