- New York Knicks star Josh Hart didn’t hesitate to make things awkward on the “Roommates Show” podcast, where he co-hosts alongside Jalen Brunson and their friend Matt Hillman. For the latest episode, they invited Knicks assistant coach Rick Brunson, Jalen’s father, as a guest.
Hart wasted no time diving into the tense subject of Rick Brunson’s preseason confrontation with Donte DiVincenzo, a close friend and fellow Villanova alum.
The incident happened last month during a preseason matchup between the Knicks and the Minnesota Timberwolves. This was their first encounter since a blockbuster trade sent Donte DiVincenzo and Julius Randle to Minnesota in exchange for Karl-Anthony Towns.
Throughout the game, DiVincenzo playfully bantered with the Knicks’ bench, which ultimately led to a postgame confrontation with Knicks assistant coach Rick Brunson. On the podcast, Rick seemed to appreciate Hart using the confrontation as an “icebreaker” to kick off the conversation.
