On and off the field, the Washington Commanders are having happy endings. The Baltimore Ravens fan who attacked multiple Commanders fans following a game earlier this month was arrested the same week that Noah Brown shocked the Chicago Bears at Northwest Stadium with Jayden Daniels’ Hail Mary (land).
John Callis, 24, turned himself in to Baltimore Police and is accused of three counts of second-degree assault and first-degree aggravated assault. For his violent, unprovoked attacks on October 13, he risks a 25-year prison sentence if found guilty.
Following Baltimore’s 30-23 victory over Washington, Callis was seen wearing a purple Lamar Jackson jersey in the widely shared footage of the incident. He knocked out one supporter with a sucker punch. He then hurled a Commanders jersey-wearing supporter into a brick wall. After that, he boasted, “I don’t (bleeping) lose!” while flexing his bicep for the camera. That was Callis’ second interaction of the evening, according to the police. The Commanders followers went back to the location to pick up a misplaced cell phone after the initial incident. The video recording started at that point.
