JUST-IN: What The Jets Might Give Up In The Trade For Davante Adams Is Hinted At By Adam Schefter.

General manager of the Las Vegas Raiders Tom Telesco’s phone has probably been ringing nonstop ever since the organization declared it was willing to trade standout receiver Davante Adams. According to reports, up to ten teams are interested in signing the three-time All-Pro wide receiver. The early favourites are the New Orleans Saints and New York Jets, who both have quarterbacks that were once teammates of Adams.

While most teams probably won’t want to part with that and pay Adams’ $17 million salary, the Raiders’ reported asking price is a second-round pick. However, ESPN’s Adam Schefter believes the Jets could make a serious push to reunite Aaron Rodgers with Adams, and he recently hinted at what they could be willing to part with to make that happen.

“While the Raiders are adamant about acquiring a second-round pick for Adams, the Jets are slated to have two third-round picks and two sixth-round picks in 2025,” Schefter stated. “The Jets also have wide receiver Mike Williams, who was drafted in 2017 by Raiders general manager Tom Telesco while Telesco was the Los Angeles Chargers GM and eventually received a contract extension during their time together in L.A.”

There’s a reason why Schefter, who has greater insider knowledge than any other NFL insider, is bringing up Williams’ name. On the other hand, if he is alluding to New York’s numerous second- and sixth-round selections, then those are probably the selections the Jets are prepared to give up in the event of a possible Adams trade. Many have believed that because of his close relationship with Rodgers, Adams should sign with the Jets. But according to a number of rumours, the Saints are also reportedly pursuing him hard.

The Washington Commanders and the Pittsburgh Steelers are two more dark-horse teams that are apparently in on Adams, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Peter Schrager.
