Massive Set-Back: Denver Broncos Suffer Offensive Blow Before Steelers Game. As Sean Payton Gives Injury Updates On WR And Veteran Defensive Line-man Out With Concussion…SEE MORE…

In Week 2, the Pittsburgh Steelers will face the Denver Broncos but will be missing starter Isaac Seumalo, who is sidelined due to a pectoral injury he sustained last week. Both quarterback Russell Wilson (calf) and wide receiver Roman Wilson (ankle) are questionable for the game, having missed last week’s matchup as well.

On the flip side, the Broncos are coping with an injury of their own. They have ruled out starting slot receiver Devaughn Vele , who is dealing with a rib injury. Vele had a productive Week 1 with eight catches for 39 yards against the Seattle Seahawks.

In Vele’s absence, the Broncos will rely on Marvin Mims and rookie Troy Franklin. Franklin might make his NFL debut this week after being inactive previously. They will join outside starters Courtland Sutton and Josh Reynolds.

Mims, who was a second-team All-Pro last season for his special teams returns, is expected to make a significant impact on offense this year. He’ll get an early opportunity to shine this week against Steelers’ rookie slot cornerback Beanie Bishop. Last season, Mims had 22 receptions for 377 yards and one touchdown.

Franklin, a fourth-round pick for the Broncos, was a college teammate of rookie quarterback Bo Nix.

Both teams have largely avoided additional injuries for this game. For the Broncos, offensive lineman Garrett Boles (calf), wide receiver Josh Reynolds (achilles), and center Luke Wattenberg (ankle) were listed on the injury report but are expected to play. The Steelers are also managing injuries with inside linebacker Patrick Queen (groin) and defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi (knee), neither of whom have official injury designations for the game.
