Caitlin Clark spent the weekend in New York City, including a visit to Yankee Stadium on Saturday. With the WNBA set to return next week, Clark made it clear that her highlight of the trip was meeting Aaron Judge.
Clark and Judge met prior to the Yankees’ doubleheader against the Texas Rangers. In the first game of the doubleheader, the Yankees defeated the Rangers 8-0, though the defending World Series champions have faced challenges maintaining their winning form this season.
Clark is expected to head back to Indianapolis soon, as the Fever will play the Phoenix Mercury on Friday. The WNBA has been on break since the All-Star game, which also served as a farewell for Team USA heading to the Olympics.
Clark was part of the WNBA All-Stars team that defeated Team USA last month, raising concerns about the American team’s chances. However, the U.S. Olympic team remains undefeated in Paris and will compete against France for the gold medal on Sunday.
Clark’s professional debut, having been the first overall pick by the Fever in April, has sparked significant interest in the WNBA. She is anticipated to be a key member of the 2028 Olympic team in Los Angeles, as many Olympians are returning to the WNBA this week.
