After Clemson’s first scrimmage of fall camp on Saturday at Memorial Stadium, head coach Dabo Swinney provided an update on the team’s health and injury status.

Swinney also commented on the conditions of various players from both offense and defense.

He mentioned that senior tight end Jake Briningstool has had limited participation. “We’ve been easing Brinny back into practice this week,” Swinney said. “He should be good to go by Monday.”

Redshirt sophomore receiver Cole Turner also saw limited action in the scrimmage. Swinney explained, “Cole had a strong start to camp but picked up a minor injury. We brought him back cautiously today.”

Redshirt freshman running back Jarvis Green was absent from the scrimmage and remains day-to-day.

On the defensive side, junior cornerback Jeadyn Lukus is also day-to-day. “He’s currently out, but we expect to have him back soon,” Swinney said.

Swinney provided updates on a couple of defensive linemen as well, including redshirt freshmen Vic Burley and Stephiylan Green. “Vic is day-to-day,” Swinney said. “He had a good practice yesterday but wasn’t quite ready to scrimmage today. He’s making progress.”

“Stephiylan is in a similar situation, not quite ready yet but working his way back,” Swinney added.

Lastly, Swinney confirmed that defensive end Cade Denhoff is “fine.” The redshirt junior wore a green (limited contact) jersey during the practice segment open to the media on Wednesday.
