HUGE REVEAL: Former LSU Heisman-Winning Quarterback Says, Injuries Have Made Him Ponder His ‘Football Mortality’…SEE MORE…

Joe Burrow, the former LSU quarterback who won the Heisman Trophy, entered the NFL with great expectations after being drafted first overall by the Cincinnati Bengals, and he has lived up to those expectations.

He ended the Bengals’ long playoff victory drought and nearly led them to a Super Bowl in 2021. When he’s been healthy, he’s shown himself to be one of the top quarterbacks in the league.

However, injuries have been a significant challenge for Burrow. He missed most of his rookie season due to a torn ACL, and his following seasons have also been plagued by injuries. Most recently, a torn ligament in his wrist ended his last season prematurely after dealing with a calf injury during fall camp.

Reflecting on these setbacks, Burrow acknowledged the toll they’ve taken on him both physically and mentally, describing it as confronting his “football mortality.”

He didn’t specify his current level of health but expressed confidence in being ready for the upcoming season. Burrow emphasized a more measured approach to his recovery, prioritizing his readiness for the season’s crucial months from September through February.

Looking ahead to 2024, Burrow aims to stay healthy and regain his place among the NFL’s top quarterbacks.
