On Tuesday, Tom Brady acquired a minority ownership stake in the Las Vegas Raiders. The seven-time Super Bowl champion may not be able to play for the team, but majority owner Mark Davis says he can assist them identify their next great quarterback.
The value that Brady provides to the Raiders team behind the scenes was described by Patriots legend Rob Gronkowski.
“Tom is the best person to know talent,” Gronkowski stated on “Up & Adams” on Wednesday. “He is skilled at assessing a player. In meetings, I recall having one-on-one conversations with him. He would thoroughly examine the individuals covering me and could dissect them in a matter of minutes.
He is able to provide you with information about their skill set, shortcomings, and strengths. Tom’s ability to identify a player’s skill set, personality, strengths, and weaknesses—as well as the circumstances in which he will flourish—is what really sets him apart from the competition.
With a 5% official ownership position in the Raiders, Brady expressed gratitude for being able to spend the remainder of his life in “the greatest league in the world.” Brady is anticipated to continue working as an analyst for FOX Sports as a part-owner of the Raiders, although league regulations would limit his broadcasting carreer.
