Following a two-week road trip, Jayden Daniels addressed the media following today’s practice, his first one back in Ashburn. He expressed his happiness at being back home and looked forward to performing at Northwest Stadium in front of a full house. Daniels discussed the preparation of the Washington Commanders defence for their upcoming game against the Cleveland Browns.
Daniels stated that although his first four games of the season have been exciting, he still has a lot of room to improve. The squad has a 3-1 record, but it’s still work in progress, with everyone working to make the team better. After receiving widespread media coverage for his NFL career’s historic start, Daniels refused to back down when asked if he thought of himself as a star. He reiterated that although he’s still inexperienced, he recognizes the outside noise and is not paying attention to it. Daniels complimented his offensive line, saying that without the big men up front, they wouldn’t be where they are today. He has improved his on-and off-field connection with centre Tyler Biadasz, which is crucial for the quarterback and everyone else.
