JUST IN-GOODNEWS: Commanders provide Marcus Mariota a practicing window.

The Commanders are getting back on the field with their seasoned backup quarterback.

Marcus Mariota’s 21-day practice window has opened for Washington as he makes his way off injured reserve.

Mariota missed the first four weeks of the season due to a pectoral injury. Mariota made three appearances for the Eagles last season after starting 13 games with the Falcons in 2022. He completed 164 yards of passing while tossing one score and one pick.

Defensive lineman Efe Obada and linebacker Jordan Magee were both selected by the Commanders to resume practice. Obada was on the reserve/physically unable of performing list, and Magee was on IR.

To activate all three players to the 53-man roster, Washington has 21 days.

Jamison Crowder, the receiver, has also been placed on injured reserve. He has been coping with an injury to his calf. In 2024, Crowder has only had one grab go five yards.
