During Sunday’s game between the Broncos and Jets, Denver’s talented young running back, Tyler Badie, suffered a significant hit from New York linebacker Quincy Williams. Badie fumbled the ball, but his health was the primary concern.
After the impact, Badie managed to reach the sideline but soon collapsed and had to be carted off the field, quickly being ruled out for the game due to a back injury. According to an update from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, it appears Badie may end up on injured reserve; however, he has full movement in all his limbs and was able to travel back to Denver with his team.
He joined the Broncos’ active roster from the Ravens’ practice squad during the 2022 season. As Badie focuses on recovery, the Broncos aim for their third consecutive win when they host the Las Vegas Raiders in a Week 5 AFC West matchup on Sunday afternoon (4:05 PM EDT/1:05 PM PDT) on FOX.
