LAKERS TRADE UPDATE: Lakers Finally Make An Offseason Move, As They Land Bradley Beal’s Protege And Former Grizzlies Free Agent Guard. In A…SEE MORE…

As the Los Angeles Lakers gear up for their 2024-25 season, they are kicking off their team training camp with a mix of familiar faces and new additions. Among their notable moves is the signing of former Memphis Grizzlies guard Jordan Goodwin to their training camp roster.

Goodwin began his NBA career with the Washington Wizards in the 2021-22 season, where he played two games. The following season, he took on a larger role, appearing in 62 games and averaging 6.6 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. After stints with the Phoenix Suns and a breakout performance with the Memphis Grizzlies, where he averaged 10.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in 17 games, Goodwin could potentially bring valuable rebounding and energy to the Lakers if he secures a spot on the team.

Despite concerns from fans over the Lakers’ limited offseason moves, the returning key players offer optimism for a successful season.

Veteran forward LeBron James, who is returning for his 21st season, remains a central figure. At 39, James had a standout 2023-24 season, averaging 25.7 points, 8.3 assists, 7.3 rebounds, and shooting a career-high 41.0 percent from three-point range.

The upcoming season holds special significance for James, as he will have the opportunity to play alongside his son, Bronny James, who was selected by the Lakers with their late second-round pick in the 2024 draft. LeBron James expressed his excitement about this unique experience on The Shop, sharing his enthusiasm and noting that it will be a surreal moment in his career: “I am so excited for training camp.  It’s going to be pretty surreal for me. That might be the first time I sit back out of my whole career like, ‘Oh sh**, this is really cool,’” James said.

The fresh energy brought by Bronny James could help elevate both LeBron and the Lakers as they aim to make a strong push in the upcoming season.
