Team USA completed their campaign undefeated, sweeping group play with a perfect 3-0 record and defeating Brazil, Serbia, and France to claim gold. Durant also became the all-time leading scorer and rebounder for the U.S. in Olympic history.
Despite starting on the bench initially due to a calf injury sustained during exhibition games, Durant proved indispensable and started the final game, showcasing his crucial role in the team’s success.
Durant’s NBA career is equally stellar, with numerous All-NBA and All-Star selections, an MVP award, and two championships with the Golden State Warriors, ensuring his place in the Basketball Hall of Fame. Suns fans are eager to see if Durant, alongside teammate Devin Booker, can bring their winning ways back to Phoenix for the 2024-25 NBA season.
