Several top NBA trade targets have already changed teams, but there are still impactful players available on the market. Utah Jazz standout Lauri Markkanen and the high salary of Zach LaVine are garnering attention, but there are lesser-known players who could also make a significant impact.
One player expected to be moved this summer or in the upcoming season is Toronto Raptors guard Bruce Brown. Brown played a pivotal role in the 2023 championship-winning Denver Nuggets before joining the Indiana Pacers in free agency and later being traded to Toronto.
The Raptors exercised Brown’s $23 million team option and are likely to include him in a trade.
In a recent article, Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report proposed a trade scenario sending Brown to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for D’Angelo Russell, Jalen Hood-Schifino, and a 2025 second-round pick.
While hypothetical, this trade idea could benefit both teams: the Lakers acquiring a versatile guard with championship experience in Brown, and Toronto receiving young talent in Hood-Schifino and a future draft pick. The Raptors could also explore further trades involving Russell if they acquire him.
