The Los Angeles Lakers have signed center Colin Castleton to a two-way contract, as announced today by Vice President of Basketball Operations and General Manager Rob Pelinka.
Castleton, a rookie in the 2023-24 season, appeared in 16 games for the Lakers, averaging 1.5 points in 3.7 minutes per game.
He also played in 12 regular-season G League games, starting all of them for the South Bay Lakers, where he posted averages of 14.1 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.6 blocks in 28.6 minutes per game.
During his collegiate career spanning five seasons at the University of Florida (2020-23) and the University of Michigan (2018-20), Castleton played 122 games (75 starts), averaging 10.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.7 blocks in 20.9 minutes per game.
In his final season at Florida, Castleton started all 26 games, averaging 16.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 3.0 blocks in 31.2 minutes per game, earning him All-SEC First Team honors. His average of 3.0 blocks per game led the SEC and ranked third in the NCAA.
