On Friday evening, the BYU Cougars football program secured a commitment from LaMason Waller, a wide receiver from California, for their 2025 recruiting class. The following day, they added another commitment from tight end Tucker Kelleher, who hails from Alpharetta, Georgia. Kelleher announced his decision on social media Saturday evening.
According to 247 Sports, Kelleher stands at 6 feet 5.5 inches tall and weighs 220 pounds. He had received numerous scholarship offers from Group of Five schools, but BYU’s offer from the Power Four conferences was his only one, which he had received two weeks prior.
Currently, Kelleher is on an official visit to BYU, alongside Waller. His commitment marks the ninth high school prospect to join BYU’s 2025 recruiting class.
Turner is ranked 464th overall in the 247Sports Composite rankings for the 2025 class and is the 53rd prospect in Georgia. After committing to Georgia Tech, he has visited BYU, which is his second school visit following a recent trip to Liberty Flames.
Turner, standing at 6 feet 2 inches and weighing 195 pounds, has excelled as a multi-sport athlete, participating in basketball and baseball during his high school career. Last season at Southwest DeKalb, he recorded 55 receptions for more than 950 yards and scored eight touchdowns.
