Four-star safety Amari Wallace becomes Miami football’s third commitment in as many days, announcing his decision on Thursday evening via a post on X. Earlier in the week, Miami secured commitments from three-star offensive linemen Demetrius Campbell and Jaden Wilkerson on consecutive days.
Wallace’s commitment has significantly boosted Miami’s 2025 recruiting class rankings, propelling them from the forties to 31st in the 247Sports composite rankings. According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Miami’s 2025 class now ranks 19th.
The commitment of Wallace marks the fulfillment of two of the four projected commitments by Steve Wiltfong of On3, who also foresaw cornerback Chris Ewald and defensive lineman Derry Norris joining the class.
Ewald, currently on an official visit to Georgia, plans to announce his commitment to either Georgia or Miami on June 27, with Miami seen as the strong favorite.
Norris, on the other hand, has not yet set a commitment date but Miami is similarly favored to secure his commitment. Notably, Miami has yet to secure a commitment from a defensive lineman for the 2025 class. Wallace’s commitment also makes him the second defensive back committed to Miami for 2025, joining CB Timothy Merritt.
