Arkansas clinched victory in impressive fashion at the NCAA Championships at Hayward Field on Saturday, securing the team title with 63 points, outscoring Florida by a margin of 59 to capture first place.

Under the leadership of Razorback women’s head coach Chris Johnson, who completed a remarkable sweep of NCAA Championships in both the 2024 indoor and outdoor seasons in his debut year, Arkansas surpassed Florida by five points (55-50) to claim the NCAA Indoor title in March.

This latest triumph marks the ninth NCAA Championship for the women’s team and the 51st overall national title for Arkansas track and field.

Starting the final day with only two points from Sydney Thorvaldson’s seventh-place finish on Thursday, the Razorbacks amassed a total of 61 points on the closing day, scoring in seven events out of their 12 entries on Saturday.Texas secured third place in the team standings with 41 points, followed closely by host Oregon (40.5), Ole Miss (38), and LSU (31).

Arkansas made history with a notable performance in the 400m, earning an unprecedented sweep of the top four spots in any NCAA event, contributing to their record-breaking point total, surpassing all previous achievements by either men’s or women’s teams in NCAA competition.
